The Roof Inspection Company That Does Not Sell You a Roof

We inspect roofs across Houston and the Greater Houston area, we document exactly what we find, and we hand you the report. Whether you do anything with it is entirely your call. That is the whole business.

Who We Are

A Houston Company Built Around One Frustration

Ask most Houston homeowners about their last roof inspection and you get a version of the same story. Someone knocked on the door after a storm, went up a ladder for six minutes, came down certain the roof needed full replacement, and had a contract ready before leaving the driveway.

That is not an inspection. It is a sales call with a ladder.

We built Roof Inspection Houston to separate the two. Our inspectors are trained to assess a roof and document its condition, and that is where their job ends. They are not paid on what they sell, because they are not selling. When a roof has five good years left, the report says five good years left, and we drive away.

It turns out that is a workable business. Homeowners who get an honest answer come back when they actually need work, and they tell their neighbors. Almost every job we do now traces back to an inspection where we told someone they did not need us yet.

The Obvious Question

How Can the Inspection Be Free?

It is a fair thing to be suspicious about. Free usually means the cost is buried somewhere. Here is exactly where ours goes.

1

An inspection is cheap for us

It costs us an hour of an inspector’s time and some fuel. There is no lab work and no equipment to rent.

2

Most roofs are fine

The majority of the roofs we look at need nothing at all. We say so, and that inspection earns us nothing.

3

Some roofs need work

When there is real damage, many people ask us to handle the repair or replacement. That work is what pays for the inspections.

4

Nobody is obligated

You can take our report to three other contractors and hire the cheapest. It happens regularly and it is fine.

Our Team

Who Actually Shows Up at Your House

Not a salesperson with a clipboard. Every inspection is run by a trained roofing inspector who does this work full time.

Trained on real roof systems

Shingle, metal, tile, slate and commercial membrane assemblies each fail in their own way. Our inspectors know the difference between normal wear and an actual defect on every one of them.

Storm damage specialists

Reading hail is a skill. Our inspectors mark and measure test squares so impact density is documented properly, which is the difference between an approved claim and a denied one.

Equipped beyond a ladder

Drone imaging for steep, tile and multi-story roofs, infrared scanning for trapped moisture, and moisture meters to confirm what the camera suggests.

They write the report themselves

The person on your roof is the person who writes what you receive. Nothing gets translated through an office that never saw the property.

Insured and safety trained

General liability and workers compensation coverage on every job, with certificates available on request before anyone steps on your property.

They will meet your adjuster

If you file a claim, your inspector walks the roof alongside the insurance adjuster and points out every documented item. No extra charge for that either.

Credentials

Manufacturer Certified and BBB Accredited

Certification decides whether an inspector can evaluate a roof against the standards the manufacturer actually set, and whether the report you receive holds up when it matters.

GAF Certified ContractorFactory certified on GAF roofing systems, so we inspect against the same standards GAF requires for its warranties
Owens Corning CertifiedTrained and approved on Owens Corning roofing systems, including their installation details and warranty conditions
BBB Accredited BusinessAccredited with the Better Business Bureau, with a verified record of resolved complaints and honest business practices

Questions

Questions About Working With Us

The things people most often want to know before they let a stranger onto their roof.

Both, and we keep the two deliberately separate. Inspections are performed by inspectors who earn nothing from repair work, so the assessment you receive is not shaped by what it might sell.

If the report shows work is needed, we are happy to quote it. You are equally welcome to take the report elsewhere and hire someone else.

No. If someone knocks on your door in Houston after a hail event claiming to be from our company, they are not. We only inspect properties where the owner contacted us first.

Storm chasing crews arrive from out of state, sign as many contracts as they can, and are gone before the warranty means anything. We are not that.

Yes. We carry general liability and workers compensation coverage, and certificates are available on request before we schedule.

Texas does not license roofing contractors at the state level, which is exactly why manufacturer certification and BBB accreditation are worth checking on any company you consider, including us.

We are a GAF Certified Contractor and Owens Corning Certified, meaning our team is trained and approved on those manufacturers’ roofing systems and the conditions attached to their warranties.

We are also an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, with a verified record of resolved complaints.

Often, yes. Second opinions are one of the more common reasons people call us, usually after being told they need a full replacement and wanting that checked independently.

Bring us the other company’s report if you have it. We will inspect the roof without reading it first, then compare findings with you afterward.

Most inspections happen within 48 hours of the call. Storm damage and active leaks get moved to the front of the queue, and we add capacity in the weeks after a major hail event.

Real estate deadlines are worth mentioning when you call. If you are working against an option period, we will fit you in.
