Overview

Carriers Respond to Evidence, Not Descriptions

The single most common reason a legitimate roof claim gets underpaid is that nobody documented the damage before it was submitted. A homeowner describes what they think is wrong, an adjuster spends twenty minutes on the roof, and the estimate reflects whatever was noticed in that window.

Independent documentation changes the starting position. When a claim arrives with marked test squares, impact counts by slope, date stamped photographs and a clear separation between storm damage and ordinary wear, there is far less room for the scope to be set by whatever the adjuster happened to see.

We produce that documentation, and if you file, your inspector meets the adjuster on the roof and points out each item physically. That is a factual walkthrough of what we recorded, not claim advocacy, and there is no charge for it.

Where Roof Claims Usually Go Wrong

When This Inspection Helps Most

Before you file anything

Documentation submitted with the claim sets the starting scope. This is the highest leverage moment.

Your adjuster visit is scheduled

Having your inspector on the roof at the same time means nothing gets overlooked by accident.

The estimate came back low

A line by line comparison often finds components that were simply not included in the scope.

Your claim was denied

A denial based on wear rather than storm damage can be reviewed against measured evidence.

You are being rushed to sign

Any contractor pressuring you to sign before the scope is known is not working in your interest.

You do not understand the scope

We can walk you through what the carrier document actually covers in plain language.

Questions

Insurance Claim Roof Inspection Questions

No, and under Texas law we cannot. Texas Insurance Code Chapter 4102 prohibits a roofing contractor from acting as a public insurance adjuster on a property where it provides roofing services. We document the damage and you submit it. Any contractor offering to handle your claim is telling you something that should concern you.

Your inspector is present when the adjuster inspects, walks the roof with them, and points out the specific items we documented. It is a factual walkthrough of physical evidence. We do not negotiate scope or pricing on your behalf.

Bring us the denial letter and the carrier estimate. Denials often rest on the damage being characterized as wear rather than storm impact, and measured documentation can address that directly. We cannot promise a reversal, but we can tell you honestly whether the denial looks well founded.

No. Waiving, absorbing or rebating an insurance deductible is illegal in Texas, and any contractor offering it is exposing you as well as themselves. Your deductible is yours to pay.

No. Approval, denial, scope and payment are decisions for your insurer under your policy terms. What documentation does is ensure the decision is made against a complete record rather than an incomplete one.
